I watched it this weekend. What are my thoughts?
Well...I was entertained. I guess that is the least you can ask from a film.
Rory Calhoun was good in the tough guy role. I am not sure I bought his redemption.
It was fun to see Jay Silverheels as something other than "Tonto".
Always fun to see Walter Brennan in a western. He is high on my list of great and unique actors.
The whole story was quite a bit of fluff to be honest. When the Indians come in and start getting all shot up, trying to capture one old man and a young girl, I was thinking, really? what is in it for them to take such great risk!
Colleen Miller, at 22 years of age, or possibly 21 at the time of filming, was absolutely beautiful!!! It makes make want to see more of her films!! Where did she get all of the makeup out in the old west?? Hmm.
Charles Drake that played Sheriff Jim Flannery. He looked very familiar. I knew I had see him in other films and I had but I still couldn't put my finger on what was bugging me about him. Then I figured it out. He must be a doppelganger of JOEL MCCREA!!! They favor a lot!!
