You are completely correct and I am very grateful that you have brought this clarification to the attention of our Music Web community. When I penned my response it was to demonstrate the volume of activity and the areas where we had been working. It was not at all my intention to mislead readers.
At the time of release I believe we made every effort to inform people that Cameo had been purchased by Lyrita and that the British Music had been transferred to a label more widely associated with this kind of repertoire. If you follow this link you can see that we mention the source of this material both in the detail box on our web site and a the top of the CD inlay: REAM2139 British Orchestral Premiers
You can also see that on the front page of our Cameo Classics Web site we once again highlight that the British works are being transferred from Cameo to Lyrita and to re-enforce the point we have kept the CD cover and a link to the four CD British collection on the Cameo page: Cameo Classics is now owned by The Lyrita Recorded Edition Trust which was founded by the late Richard Itter to promote British Classical Music through the Lyrita label and to curate the Itter Broadcast Collection. “We will operate Cameo alongside the Lyrita label, both of them being distributed under exclusive licence by Nimbus / Wyastone. The important British premieres that appeared on Cameo, works by Somervell, Blower, and Howell among others, will be re mastered and recompiled for immediate issue on the Lyrita label. The remaining Cameo titles will be re mastered and re-presented with a new design during 2018, alongside a new release programme drawn from the non-British material contained in the Itter Broadcast Collection.” Adrian Farmer, Lyrita Trustee
The details of our reorganisation of this repertoire also appeared on the sales notes we sent to retailers and distributors plus the notes we sent to media and press entities including Music Web-International who informed readers in the opening paragraph of the most informative review from Garry Higginson.
The opportunity to interact directly with our customers is one of many reasons why we value the place Music Web-International holds within our marketing sphere. Please do not hesitate to contact us about any issues, we are always delighted to hear from enthusiasts.
Yours sincerely
