Warmest regards,

All credit to Lee for the excellent interview with Jonathan Leshnoff, who does indeed come across as a most amiable and thoughtful composer. I was pleased to learn that the First Symphony is available on Naxos. I look forward to hearing more of Jonathan Leshnoff's music.
Thank you for your kind words, Ned. The back catalogue of MusicWeb is so vast that I fear it may keep you busy until Easter 2022 ! I hope you find it of much interest. That said, I'm pleased you have found the music of Jonathan Leshnoff enjoyable - much of it is indeed, quite superb in a style which avoids the serialism of Boulez, Stockhausen et al and rather picks up the baton from Walton and Shostakovich. IMHO, his latest (published) work, the Piano Concerto, is worthy to stand alongside the very best in the repertoire.
Warmest regards,
lee
Can I add my own thanks to Lee Denham as well, for such an interesting interview with the composer Jonathan Leshnoff (http://www.musicweb-international.com/classrev/2021/Mar/Leshnoff-interview.htm ), which I stumbled across on Reference Recording's own website ? What a thoroughly nice man Mr Leshnoff appears to be and, having sampled some of the music recommended by Mr Denham in the interview, what a very fine composer he is as well.
I was not aware of Musicweb International's website until yesterday, but if the quality of the reviews are anything like this interview, then I have a very busy Easter holiday coming up indeed. So thank you for the website, as well as for the interview introducing me to the music of Jonathan Leshnoff - bravo !
