I read your review of the latest incarnation of Solti's Sigfried with great interest. I have also been annoyed by the bad side breaks within acts.
But does it have to be any at all? I've done some math as good as I am able. And I think that every act could be contained on a single CD/SACD each. 80+ minutes isn't a problem anymore, I have a lot of CD's that are 85+ minutes.
If my math was wrong, I apologize.
