I want to thank PTourist for a magnificent, well-annotated review. I SO agree with the examples cited, which "ate away" at me as well. It just strikes me as ludicrous that anyone should be so critical of her acting abilities/how she portrays a character. To do this is to undermine her uncompromising devotion to her craft. As it is, Moorehead had so much to offer and such off-the-charts talent, it's a shame "Hollywood," as it were, didn't showcase her to the max. To then be critical about the "scraps" the industry handed this brilliant thespian is to add salt to the wound.
