Murray is home now. It's been a crazy 7 days. They sent him home with the 2 kinds of oxygen things. One is a concentrator he can pull around the house and a canaster container to use sparingly.... if the concentrator isn't working.
He is doing better than a week ago, thankfully. He is very crabby from not smoking for a week. Smoked a cigarette when he got home. Sadly, I knew he would.
He must have many outpatient tests in the next few weeks. He has 5 new medications and 3 taken away.
They might need to do a lung biopsy depending on what they learn from a nuclear lung test.
He is making up his own rules about things he needs to do. I can't let him do it. Example= said he didn't need to use oxygen in the car going home. Thankfully... the nurse said he HAD to use oxygen in the car. It will be a struggle. I may have to go a little 'nurse Ratchet'
He just got up with rolling concentrator Oxygen into the kitchen to make himself a sandwich.
We have to make lots of appointments.
I got lots of help with rides back and forth to the hospital. Alex took laundry to laundramat, wwatered the plants and moved some boxes to the basement. My neighbor weeded our garden. So grateful. I am really happy and proud about me, too... that I was strong enough to keep all the differnt things together and coordinated. I am stronger than I think and feel good about it. I was exhausted by the end of the day.
Glad he is home.
