I sure hope that a bag won't deter him from choosing surgery. It is not great fun, but after the first month or so of getting used to it, it is not that bad. My mom and I have both had them. She was told for life, but about 3 years later, they were able to reverse hers because of new medical improvements. Never know what is around the corner. I sure hope he can have a successful surgery and be with you for years.
