It will be more restful for you. Hydrocodone has never done anything for me but make me not care about anything and be grouchy. I hope that if it doesn't work for you, they will give you something else, preferably not music. My husband sat up on the couch with his forearm resting on a cushion for several weeks after he had his shoulder surgery. He said he could get comfortable and get some good sleep. Not even a recliner or adjustable bed was comfortable for him. I hope that you can find your spot. His padded sling kept his arm at an odd angle, so anything reclining was not comfortable. I just put a stool under his feet, gave him a blanket, and slept in my recliner. I hope that the worst is over soon.
