he is able to walk the entire distance of the floor now. I hope that the wound vac is gone soon. I don't like him going home with a wound vac because it is such a good site for infection and being a man he probably won't stay on top of it like Paula did. I understand his thinking because my mother thought the same thing after her hip surgery. After she saw the place and met some of the people she felt a lot better about it because the one she was in was more like a luxury retreat where you just happened to have to exercise a few times a day. She enjoyed her time there and it was a lot easier to get her into a rehab after that. If you have a good one it might help to take him on a tour. Might not, he is a man. I hope that function is restored to his colon soon but that is part of surgery at his age too. Praying.
