Tuesday Grats Posted by Delta on 8/26/2025, 11:41 pm, in reply to "Tuesday Grats ?" We took our DIL out for her birthday at lunch today at a Mediterranean restaurant that she likes. We enjoyed the food and the company. It was a restaurant that we had not tried before. Our SIL had an interview last week at a company he has long wanted to work for. They rarely have turnovers, but they have an opening right up his alley right now. They called him to tell him they want him to come back and talk to the big boss this week. I sure hope he gets it. The weather has been exceptionally nice for the past few days, and temperatures are expected to be even lower for the next week. We took everything out of the backyard storage building yesterday and cleaned it well. Looks so good in there. Makes us feel good. We are planning to take all the furniture out of the screened room and scrub down the furniture as well as the room this week. It has been so hot for over two months that we have neglected the outside. Talked to my cousin today and her mother is doing better. She fell and was in the hospital a few days then in rehab for a week. She is home now and going to PT. Hope she is back to normal soon.

When we go out of town it’s nice to have something different. I don’t do spicy so I always work around that.

There were different veggie bases for each, and then you would pick a protein, a carb (such as different rices, roasted new potatoes, or flatbread), and a dip or dressing. There were also fruit bowls for sides or bigger ones for a meal. Sandwiches were also available on flatbreads. One was on a pretzel bun. It was a nice experience. I liked the pick-your-own and also that each one was a balanced meal with the fat and calories already in check. All four of us got different things, and they were all perfectly balanced as far as macros.

My five… Posted by Cindy on 8/26/2025, 8:10 pm, in reply to "Tuesday Grats ?" 1. Because of rain yesterday they couldn’t bring the peninsula over to install it. They did bring over my new French doors that lead out to the patio and got them in! Love that they have the blinds inside the glass! 2. Sunny 78 degree weather today and they are installing the peninsula as I type this! It looks good! I am so excited! 3. Being able to take off work as I need to when the contractors are over. I am coming up on my anniversary at work in September. I will be starting my 14th year! 4. Maggie and Solomon. They are so loving and so entertaining. 5. All of my FSF sisters on here! I love you all! And LOVE that we can share our lives with each other!

Mine Posted by Paula on 8/26/2025, 8:48 am, in reply to "Tuesday Grats ?" It's good for me to do this daily even when there's nothing 'special' to be grateful for or when I'm down. It reminds me that life is constantly changing and, what goes down, will go up. LOL I have 6 clients today. Will not schedule like this again. 5/day 3 days/week is what I want. Going to msg the surgeon today and ask him to put in an order for PT. Because the nurse is still.coming out, Medicare doesn't allow for me to.go to outpatient PT. I've asked my nurse to set it up a bunch of times but it doesn't happen so I'll make it happen. I.just want a home routine to help with balance, stretching and strengthening. Food has been so sloppy this week. Within my calorie range but too many carbs and fat. Grat? I can change that today if I want it badly enough! Cool temps in the 10-day forecast. Several days when the high doesn't get out of the upper It's. That's my kind of weather!
