I really don't want to mess with this when I'm traveling but, will do what must be done. Sudoku Last, rainy day Carin's presents of Chicago style pizza and the cake came yesterday. I think it made her really happy. She said she's saving it all.for.her birthday on Monday so she doesn't have to cook or bake...just what I intended.

One of my hips is a bit out of socket. They can put it back, but just getting into or out of the car can make it pop out again. I have sciatica at the moment in the other. With nerves getting pinched in both, I just don't like moving more than I have to, but my legs are already getting weak. I hate how I lose ground so easily these days. Keep up those exercises forever. It will really help you. Maybe it will even help me get back to mine. I don't imagine that they have walk-in clinics on every corner or nurses in all the drug stores there for minor things, but it would be nice if you could find a nurse somewhere to change your dressing for very little money. I can't imagine trying to change my wound dressing if it had been on my back, but my sister changed her own dressing when she had cancer surgery on her back, so I guess it can be done, just not easily.

They are sitting in my dining room waiting for my plumber who will be here Monday to install them! After that comes the quartz countertops that should be installed on October 20th. 2. A good weight loss online meeting this morning. Love my little group! 3. Time spent with Ken. Love my sweet guy! 4. My contractor and plumber. Great guys that work hard for me! 5. This day and all it has to offer! God is good.

What you see in the picture is just the plywood that is on top of our peninsula. I will be so glad to get the countertops installed! They are the last big thing to be installed. I will still need to look at lighting as I want new lights. Slowly but surely!

Cinq Choses Pour Moi Posted by Krista on 9/27/2025, 9:45 am, in reply to "Saturday Gratitude..." 1) Dad will have a colonoscopy on Wednesday and hopefully we will have next steps and cancer spread amount shortly thereafter. He is not optimistic - please continue to pray. They will be removing some polyps 2) on a positive note, they'd ordered and chairlift to be installed on Oct 5 which I think is a HUGE OPTIMISTIC and POSITIVE step forward 3) the new shows are all starting! We've got several to get started on already (Brilliant Minds, Doc, Hell's Kitchen, Law and Order and Law and Order SVU) 4) today and tomorrow all mapped out for intake with respect to protein / fluids 5) doing so well post-op! One of the other gals who I connected with on the site isn't doing as well and I feel bad for her. She is from out west here in Canada and still in Toronto with her hubby. A lot of nausea, gas and pain. Let's pray for her too (Lisa)

I am so thrilled that you are doing so well so soon. I wasn't going to mention it until it was all over, but the niece who is doing so well had a terrible first few days. She ended up staying in the hospital for at least 3 days that I can remember, maybe more. She was miserable in the beginning. My nephew wasn't a whole lot better until they finally got his bowels moving. I think your positive attitude going in has helped a lot, too. I will say that there were times when my niece got too weak and headachy, so she would go to a stand-alone clinic for an infusion because her enzymes would get off. It always did the trick, and it stopped after a few months. Her problem may have been that she had three children under two at the time and was run ragged. They had a child almost two and ended up taking care of two foster children, one a few months younger than theirs and the other a baby. She was also trying to continue working part-time from home during her recovery. It most likely was very draining. I don't think you will have that problem but if you do check to see if your surgery clinic recommends the infusions or if they even have places to get them there except for the hospital.

If you keep the Gatorade Zero and don't have the stress that she had, perhaps you will never have the problem of getting exhausted and weak that she had. Nephew never had to have them, but he didn't have a family at the time, so he could go home from work and rest. I am sure with three under two and as many irons as she had in the first that she never got good rest. Yet she still made it work for her, and it is still working. I love that you are planning your day's food/drink ahead. I hope you continue to do that. I firmly believe that a good plan is half the battle, and one that I tend not to do enough of.

With all the controversy surrounding vaccines, especially in Florida, I am grateful my husband and I were able to get our Covid and Senior flu shots. 2. After my abbreviated treat day last Sunday, I managed to hit goal weight this week by getting right back on track, and for that, I am most grateful. 3. Krista is back home after her surgery, and from all indications, doing well. 4. Libby and Kindle apps that provide wonderful free books 24/7. 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!

I know that for many of us who have fought the weight for so long, we will throw in the towel if the scale goes up a great deal. You and Cindy have taught me to just get back to it and if I do the work, the weight will eventually come down on its timeline, not mine. If I say ow, well, I have already blown it, so I might as well have what I want now. I have to do all the work all over again. It took a while to love my Kindle. I loved being able to take multiple books with me in so little space, but at home, I still read 'real' books. Once I got used to it, though I seldom read books now, and am sending a lot of my favorite collections to charity shops and give-away places. I still like cookbooks and sewing books better. Also, the Bible, but happy that I can carry one around all the time without the weight. Do you have a Bible app on your Kindle? Most of the ones I have found are very clunky and, of course, they take up a lot of space, but I like knowing that I can just slip my Kindle into my purse or bag and have it with me any time I want. One of mine will even read it to me. The others probably will if I download an app or change the settings, but this one came with that feature several iterations back.
