My five… Posted by Cindy on 9/28/2025, 12:31 pm, in reply to "Sunday grats..." 1. Woke up to still having my appliances sitting in my dining room! I told Ken it seems like a dream! Jason (plumber) will be here tomorrow to install! 2. Next up to buy for the kitchen will be the tiles for my backsplash. We have to wait until the countertops are in before they get installed but I can get them picked out and bought. I thought about doing bead board as a backsplash to match the bead board in my dining room and on the peninsula, but thought that might be a little bit too much! Another time I thought of using the tin ceiling tiles but decided that style would pass and so I think I am going to do a nice simple subway tile. Always in style. 3. Walking on the treadmill is finally getting easier. I was at 5:53 of my 5 minute walk this morning before I looked at my time! When I first started walking on the treadmill, I watched the time and it seemed to drag by slowly! Even Ken said the time is going faster and he feels he can go up the stairs easier! I turn on the tv and concentrate on it instead of the timer! 4. Nothing much planned for today. Love nice relaxing days. 5. All the blessings we have. God is good.

They actually have a bead board… Posted by Cindy on 9/29/2025, 11:58 am, in reply to "The back splash will get wet." That is made out of PVC. So it getting wet wouldn’t be a problem-BUT- it took a while to find it and I think I will go with something a little classier.

Second time typing these! Lost the other Posted by Paula on 9/28/2025, 11:46 am, in reply to "Sunday grats..." A chuckle and a sigh. This morning I was making my lists of 'what I need to do before my trip' and 'what I need to pack.' The latter: CPAP, cane, dressings, antiseptic liquid, gauze pads, nystatin powder and cream for under my belly, meds. Sigh! Even with all of that, I'm going on my trip! Co and Lew. Bill always feeds the cats in the morning (Gianni waits for him every morning outside his bedroom door). On days I'm not up by 8,he gets the dogs up, out and fed. Cosette sleeps in her crate but after eating, she sometimes jumps in my bed for a cuddle (cats hate it; my bed is theirs!). She did that this morning but only for a bit. Instead, she got down and went to lay on the rug, next to Lew. They are so bonded. A few moments ago, Co let me know she needed to go out. Bill and I keep yelling at Lew (not in anger) even though we know he's deaf now. So, I'm yelling away for him to come and go out while he happily chews on his bone and looks out the front door. Cosette got tired of waiting and walked over to hom and swatted him with one of her long legs.to get him up! She's a really smart dog. Going to the office tomorrow. Full day of in-person clients. A little nervous. I don't want everyone commenting on my weight loss but,those who do, will be well-intentioned

Five for me... Posted by Joan on 9/28/2025, 9:23 am, in reply to "Sunday grats..." 1. Sunday - In the Gospel, we are reminded of our duty to care for the poor. As I've stated before, I am so happy my Church makes it easy by have a food pantry, along with other programs. This week, there was a call for canned peas, and thanks to Delta's advice, I took low sodium. 2. Cindy is an internet star! She was so poised on her work video explaining her program. Wow! I'm so glad I was able to see it. 3. Speaking of Cindy, I can't tell you how many times her "Thought of the Day" is exactly what I needed to read! 4. We have been having a plethora of beautiful rainbows. A few days ago, the sun was shining while the rain was just pouring, and it was simply breathtaking! 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!

I’m pretty sure I’m not an internet star, but had to laugh when I read that! I always hope that my thought of the day touches someone on the board. I feel the same way about a lot of them. Love all you do in your community through your church and its many programs! I bet those rainbows were beautiful! Love you!
