Cindy's Grats reminded me that so far, my Dexa scans have been good, and I don't have to worry about bone loss yet. It is a good thing that with all the falling I was doing, on one of the meds I was taking. That reminds me that I have been off the medication for a year. I fell the night the doctor told me to stop taking it and haven't fallen since. So grateful for that. Fulfilling another thing on my bucket list. I realized last night that I have checked off everything on my bucket list except two: outliving my mother and losing this weight. I don't want her to have to bury me. She has already buried her middle child. My list was long and included some big things. God has been good to me. Last week, I cancelled the colonoscopy and endoscopy that the new gastrologist wanted me to have on Friday to take me as a new patient. I stepped out on faith to cancel it because in over 10 days, my old doc's office had not called to set up a new appointment, and the new doc took almost 9 months to get this set up. The old doc's office called on Friday, and I have an appointment on the 24th to get me started back with him. I need an endo in 2026 because of Barrett's (so far it has never gotten worse, fingers crossed, but I can put off a colonoscopy until 2032.

It was in the 20’s on Monday and back up close to 70 today! 3. Dogs that love me. Maggie and Solomon are the best! 4. Doctors offices that call me back. I had a Dexa scan that showed in the 2 1/2 years I have been taking Alendronate (to treat and prevent bone loss) that I am still showing more bone loss. Glad I could reach out to my Dr and hopefully get another plan of action. I am scared of breaking something! 5. This day and all it has to offer me. God is good.

Had to cancel my hair appointment that was scheduled for the 18th because of work. My stylist is booked solid for months but I was put on her wait list. She has a cancellation tomorrow. Never thought I'd get in! Sunshine streaming in the windows. Tracking my food. I did some good work with clients yesterday. Sometimes it seems like nothing is really helping them.

I hope that the PT helps you get back in a groove on movement. That is the one thing a vacation can do, make you get out and move. One PT told me to set aside 5 minutes a day to move. Said if I just could not do it that I could quit but if I could do it to keep on as long as I could. It builds habit. Wish I had listened.

It's not as good as walking outside or the recumbent bike BUT it's 90 minutes of something and I'm proud of that! 3) Ray's roast beef was great last night. I had 2 oz meat (ground up), 1/2 cup mashed potatoes and 1/2 cup of carrots and that was a perfect amount 4) tried a recipe with cottage cheese, peanut butter, a banana and 2 tbsp maple syrup (a pudding of sorts) and it wasn't awful. I have never eaten cottage cheese other than in lasagna but it's a recommended protein source. Any go to recipes? 5) nothing we enjoy more than watching TV together and catching up on our MANY MANY MANY shows

Have you tried cottage cheese and fruit in a blender on a 1/1 ratio? I usually use a half cup of each but that might be too much for you unless you use it for a meal. If you use fresh berries, mango, peaches, etc it is like a pudding. If you use frozen fruit it is like a sorbet, sorta. I have also done it with Greek yogurt. Use your favorite sweetener if you need it.
