Egg cooker fiasco Posted by Cindyh on 4/29/2026, 3:35 pm I have used my egg cooker a LOT ever since Cindy was bragging about hers a few years ago. Last night I boiked my usual 7 eggs in it to make tuna salad and have for snacks. I kept thinking boy that went fast. Wellll. I cracked 2 about an hour ago and I told John boy these are soft. Somehow they turned out like 5 minute eggs. White done yellow 80-% soft I couldn’t figure out what in the world happened. I only use one setting on the cup ever for water. I out the other back in the egg cooker and cooked 5 more mins and peeled one. Exactly the same. I’m very confused. I think it’s time for a new one. Sooooo What kind of egg cooker do you all have. This was from Aldi

Mine looks rough but still works! I have had it forever! I love it and will get a new one if mine ever goes out! They have them at Walmart.

She told me she donated it but she found it when she was cleaning her cabinets out last week lol. Talk about timing! She told me to not buy one and take it. She won’t use it. Posted by Delta on 4/30/2026, 12:39 am, in reply to "Egg cooker fiasco" I don't use an egg cooker; I just throw them into a pan of boiling water for 10 minutes and ignore what they say about putting them into ice water and only cool them enough to handle them. Shake them in a little of the water and the peels usually fall right off. I just don't have space for all the gadgets so I have to choose.
