If I had the honour and previledge to be invited to the Coronation of the King of England I certainly would want to look my absolute best (even if I had to borrow some items/gowns/jewels for it).
People go to weddings, garden parties, galas, state visits etc. all the time, but this is a once in a reign ocasion (or perhaps a once in a lifetime) so I do hope the organizers of the ceremony understand that and act accordingly in terms of dress code.
It would simply be a bit ridicoulous if such a grand event's dress code for the guests would be at the same level of a wedding or a garden party...
At least at the level of a white tie gala please, where ladies can wear their finest jewels (meaning tiaras) and gentleman wear their decorations and orders.
