I agree Maureen. Its a bit mindblowing to me that these might be Pss Diana's earrings, as the saudi sapphires earrings were one of her most iconic jewels.

The sapphire set was a personal gift to Pss Diana, these were not jewels already in the collection and just worn by her. After her death her jewels were divided between her two sons. We know, for instance, that Pc Harry inherited the famous sapphire engagement ring but gave it to his brother as he was getting married first.

Its logical to assume that the jewels that used to belong to Pss Diana, and were inherited by Pc William, are now at the full disposal of the Princess of Wales. If these are indeed the earrings we believe they are, could the Princess of Wales have lent them to the Queen, as they are clip earrings? The two ladies seem to have a very good relationship.
