According to Trond N. Isaksen’s blog article about Estelle Bernadotte, which was published shortly before the story which says that a Swedish RF member bought back the tiara, the complete parure was sold, though he does not name the buyer. Link and quote: http://trondni.blogspot.com/2012/02/people-from-past-countess-estelle.html “The parure consisted of tiara, necklace and brooch and Estelle Bernadotte bought a ring, a bracelet and a pair of earrings to go with it. It was inherited by her eldest son, but has now been sold.” --Previous Message-- : WOW Great news Boris : : however, why do they only talk about tiara? : What happened to the rest of the parure? or : the whole thing was bought back? : : : : --Previous Message-- : According to Norwegian journalist court : reporter Kjell Arne Totland, “a member of : the Swedish Royal Family” has bought back : the tiara which once belonged to Queen Sofia : and then to Countess Estelle Bernadotte av : Wisborg, alternately described as being set : with diamonds and pink tourmalines or white : sapphires. : : It was worn by Queen Sofia at her 1873 : coronation as Queen of Norway and Trond N. : Isaksen confirmed in his blog a few days ago : that Countess Estelle’s descendants recently : sold it. : : If true, an intriguing and major : (re-)addition to the Bernadotte collection – : link to article: : : : : http://blogg.aftonbladet.se/hovbloggen/2012/02/prinsessan-estelles-finaste-fodelsegava : : Countess Estelle with the tiara: : : Queen Sofia (von Nassau) with the tiara: : : : : : :
