Thank you so much, Ursula (and Uwe) for sharing this fantastic find! This is one original and beautiful parure - imagine it being worn with a very simple, understated gown today, in black or in solid blue-grey matching the stones, and the effect would be stunning.
Of course with some questions solved, others arise... ...to whom did Queen Josefina leave the parure - perhaps to her only daughter Eugénie, who is known to have sold a lot of her jewelry? How did Chaumet come into the possession of Queen Josefina's parure? And indeed, where might the tiara be today?
