Thank you for these great photos, Arthur! The earrings seem to be at least altered, the small twigs between the upper parts and the drops are missing. I wonder though, if it might be a different pair alltogether:
I'm not sure about the size of the upper peridots, which seem larger in some photos of Joan Rivers than in the earrings sold by Christie's, but the diamond frames of JR's peridot drops seem to contain 17 diamonds while Christie's have only 13 diamonds.
