Spanish Wedding Gift Tiara – some thoughts and ideas Archived Message

Almost a week ago (11th January to be more precise) the Spanish Wedding Gift Tiara appeared, under the section ‘Daily Diadem’, at the blog The Court Jeweller (that I, as probably most of you, read in a daily basis). I am not sure if the author (Ella Kay) of TCJ is in this board or if reads what is written here, but I need to take this opportunity to congratulate her for the amazing job she is doing. But I digress …
Seeing that entry on the blog was the perfect opportunity to make me re-think that tiara and put all the thoughts I had about it clear. I commented at the time but I would like to read your opinions and to ask the help of someone with Photoshop skills. Like most of you (not to say all), I still hope this tiara had found its way to the personal collection of Queen Mathilde. As we all know the Belgium Royal Family (BeRF) is short of tiaras and the ones the BeRF has are basically all diamond ones. So there are no colored stones or even pearl tiaras in the BeRF vaults (at least that I know). Imho this amazing jewel could be changed in order to have two permanent tiaras:
1. Keep the wreath tiara (maintaining the possibility of changing the central gemstones);
2. Use the base of the coronet to create a new tiara, replacing the leaves elements (used in the wreath tiara) by upright pear shaped pearls, diamond collets or other gemstones.
Instead of having this
“we” could have something similar to this
or this
or even this
These changes could be reversible increasing the convertibility options.
I think that would be an huge upgrade in the BeRF tiara collection but what is your opinion? Is anyone able to do some “photoshop magic”?
