Queen Sophia turquoise jewels? Archived Message

Thank you very much Carlo, it's always a delight to remember the greek fabulous jewels. I've spotted some pieces I've never seen on any other greek ladies: 3 huge chokers, the diamond one in the 2nd picture is stunning! Also a big sized diamond and pearl brooch, and the pearl and diamond earrings have huge stones and pearls. Also on the thread bellow refering to Queen Sophie's jewels there is a reference to a letter from her mother to Sophie, where Empress Victoria mentions a substantial and beautiful turquoise set that was gifted to Pss Sophie. I do not have on my files any information on turquoise pieces of Queen Sophie, the only turquoises I know in the greek family are the ones from Pss Françoise. Any information on these pieces? Sold during the Queen's exile years perhaps? I was very curious on these turquoise pieces. My mind just started speculating... could they be the provenance of the Queen of Spain's turquoises? Queen Sofia of Spain has at least two sets of turquoises of unknown origin (at least to me...) one of them with big sized stones... Just speculating... Another mistery for us to solve Thank you for any info --Previous Message-- : The late Queen Sophia of Greece, wife of HM : King Constantine I of Greece had a nice : collection of jewels, mostly diamonds and : pearls, but very beautiful.
