In german we call this "08/15".
As sad the transformation of something beautiful and historically important to something trivial is, it always reminds me of a scene in "Pillow talk" with Doris Day playing a interior decorator. Discussing with a very rich lady about her new flat she shows her a very old chinese vase. Lady: "Oh, could we make a hole in the bottom to use it a as lamp??"

: The emeralds removed from the celebrated

: these emeralds on two unique pieces of
: jewelry, a brooch and a ring, for one of
: their customers Mrs. Sybil Harrington of
: Texas. The brooch resembling a floral
: bouquet with the emerald as the centerpiece
: and marquise and pear-shaped diamonds
: forming the petals of the flowers, was set
: in a wire mounting that highlighted the
: gemstones. The ring had the second emerald
: as the centerpiece and was surrounded by
    : round brilliant-cut diamonds.
