But: You say that the new tiara and haircomb do belong to the cut steel set we know. But the 'new' pieces are very different technically and design-wise from the other pieces of cut steel (only Queen Silvia has worn all of them together, see below), and 'the set we know' is actually no 'set' in the first place. The grand tiara does not form a parure with the choker necklace and earrings - they are merely worn together as they are all made of cut steel.
Looking at the point in time when this kind of cut steel jewelry was first popular, it's interesting to hear that the tiara-plus-haircomb has been 'in the Palace for over 100 years', because cut steel was first in vogue 200 years ago during the Napoleonic era, which is when the grand cut steel tiara was made - the first time it was possible to cut the metal in such a precise manner.
