Actually, we don't know the exact provenance of the other cut steel pieces. Even the destiny of the grand cut steel tiara is a blur - as frequently reported, it belonged originally to Napoleon's step-daughter Hortense de Beauharnais, later married to Napoleon's brother and Queen of Holland. But how exactly it came to Sweden and how it got 'lost' only to be re-discovered by Queen Silvia in its original velvet case in the late 1970s at Stockholm Palace remains a mystery so far.
