First of all that tiara was created in the 1950s and was designed for a very bouffant hair style. At the time a woman wearing a tiara could hide the frame in her hair which were coiffed very highly on the head. It is not made to be worn on a flat hair style.
The tiara frame was created on 1957 with the necklace and when you open the box, you just have to remove the necklace and remove the bottom of the box. Under it there is a kind of secret box where the frame is hidden.
As i already said the frame is in two parts : one to fix the front part of the necklace and one that you fix in the middle of the frame and which keeps the tiara on your head. That second part of the frame is a kind of round thin white gold structure which goes from the back all around the head to the central part of the tiara. Once the parts have been fixed it is a very comfortable tiara.
