Given the wonderful displays on the weddings of Prince Constantijn and Prince Willem-Alexander, the funerals of Prince Claus, Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard, the baptisms of the three A's, the celebrations of the 40th birthdays of the princely couple, I have confidence that it will all become a colourful but dignified affair without getting over the top. After all WA is already King, it is just the "inhuldiging" (the hail to the King) in which the new King promises to uphold and maintain the Constitution, the States-General promises the same (plus loyalty to the new King) and then it is: "The King has been invested, long live the King! ("Hoera! Hoera! Hoera!"). That is all what the "fuss" is about. Note that in Denmark there is only a proclamation from the balcony, that in Spain there is a sober investiture in the Congres, that in Belgium and Luxembourg there is no any sign of regalia at all. We may not complain.
