Im in two minds about the ceremony in the Nieuwe Kerk.
My preference would be for a white tie event in the evening where Queen Maxima, the other women of the Royal Family and Royal guests can all showcase their tiara's and jewels. I would love it if Maxima was to wear the Stuartparure for that event.
For the day she could opt for either the ears of wheat (my personal favorite) or the Pavlovnik Pearl Tiara. Thus leaving her husband all the attention.
But since the Royal House website has stated that the new king will wear white tie with the Royal robe for his inauguration i fear there will not be a white tie event at night. If that is the case i'd love it for the event to be a white tie event for all. Than Queen Maxima should be wearing gold, with the blue order and preferably the Stuart Parure leaving plenty of jewels for Beatrix, Laurentien, Margriet and the other women in the family. It would also give the other Crownprincesses attending an opportunity to wear their jewels. We might even see the Princess of Asturias with her new tiara.
