Im not certain but i think those porcelain flowervases are from the Flora Danica range and could very well be antique, making them just as expensive as the gilded table wear of some of the other Royal houses. The table silver also looks very impressive and i remember there have been exhibitions with 18th century Royal silver from the Royal collections. So it may look simpler but i very much doubt it is any simpler or cheaper than the lay out for a state banquet at any other European court. Have you seen the gilded/gold boxes and ashtrays? --Previous Message-- : Is this a message to all Royal Houses: please : keep those magnificent tablepieces, so : carefully maintained for centuries and : inherited from generation on generation, in : the safes and say it with sweetpeas? : : I think a State Banquet, the lay out of the : table is as essential as the uniforms of the : footmen and the jewels and robes of the : ladies. : : : : : : --Previous Message-- : I find the use of sweet peas refreshing. : : :
