The really glamourous Juliana was the short period after the wedding and before the war. When she became Queen, mainly in the 1950's she could really look glamorous too. But that Queen Juliana has never looked more glamorous than on her Investiture Day, I remain to that stance. Sadly in the 1960's, after the highpoint in 1962 (Silver Wedding), soon the sleeveless C&A-dresses, the "Juliana spectacles" and the eternal turbans came out the closet. She looked really older than her daughter Beatrix now, on the same age.
