--Previous Message-- : Well Juliana was a very well bejewelled : monarch in her day. After all she was the : (only) one who showed off the 'House : Diamonds' to the rest of the world when her : predecessor and her succesor left them : (mostly) in the vault. She had already : pulled out the huge tiara for a gala evening : prior to the actual inauguration! Juliana : rules supreme in this department. I'm a tragic for black and navy evening/ball gowns - and I just LOVED the matching opera gloves worn by Juliana. Superb! Add to that the selection of diamonds, rubies and pearls HM wore on the day of her inauguration and you had one exquisitely dressed and bejewelled sovereign. Grand and majestic without any sense of ostentation. RE
