I also wonder about wedding gifts offered from other leaders. In the 1980's some very expensive trinkets appeared to honour the marriage of the Prince of Wales. While his wife duly wore these items surely they were not her personal possessions but part of the property of the Prince & Princess of Wales as opposed to Charlie Windsor & Di Spencer?????
