It is a very interesting book with many informations and, as I said, with lots of good pictures.
The author was, some time ago, director of the 'Casa Museu Anastacio Gonçalves' and was responsible for an exhibition about Queen Amelia with the famous Rémi Fénérol collection ( http://www.cmag.imc-ip.pt/Default.aspx?Tag=CONTENT&ContentId=2128 ).

Unfortunately I never saw the Portuguese Crown Jewels live but I still hope to see them one day. Perhaps with this new director, who knows. You sure are very lucky.
What's wrong with titling HRH as 'HRH Dona Isabel of Herédia'?

When I think about past directors of the National Palace of Ajuda I alway remenber of those Crown Jewels that were stolen.

But back to the book it starts by making clear that the jewels worn by HRH the Duchess of Bragança are private property and not part of the House of Braganza Foundation as many people think.
One of the most interesting pieces is the 'Por Bem brooch' which I had no idea that existed.
