Nellie , Hans started a thread on October 31 about Princess Lilian Cartier tiara which was unanswered. The Cartier tiara loaned to the President of France's wife in 1939 is the tiara bought by King Leopold III for his wife Princess Lilian . --Previous Message-- : : What are we comparing with please? Nothing : else in this thread. : : --Previous Message-- : Yes it is. It was already known and stated : that this tiara was from Cartier and loaned : to the wife of the French president. After : the war the tiara was still on sale in : Paris, Cartier hoping that the coronation of : Elizabeth II in 1953 will provide a buyer. : It was not the case and the tiara was : finally bought by the ex king Leopold for : his wife in 1957 or 1958. : : : : :
