So many articles have mentioned that the Queen Mother gave this tiara to Princess Margaret. After Princess Margaret passed away, the tiara would then be the property of her children.
Is it possible Viscount Linley and Lady Sarah decided to sell it back to QEII instead of auctioning it off like other items owned by Princess Margaret?
Or maybe it wasn't really Princess Margaret's property, but only for her use in her lifetime?
I'm just really surprised that Catherine is wearing it. I do love this tiara so I'm glad it's being worn again. I suppose Serena Linley or Lady Sarah won't have much use for a tiara.
