I forgot about Doña Fabiola de Mora y Aragón. Not unimportant: that gift was not by the Nobility but by the State of Spain. I am not aware of jewels given to Donna Paola Ruffo di Calabria. Note that sometimes other valuable gifts were given instead jewels. For an example Princess Beatrix and Prince Claus were given porcelain tableware for 48 couverts designed by Eduard Bellefroid, table silver for 48 couverts designed by Royal Begeer, crystalware for 72 persons designed by Andreas Copier, silver tableware from Indonesia, porcelain tableware by the Grand Duke of Luxembourg, a grand persian carpet by the Shah of Persia, a table set by the King of Denmark, an antique folding screen by Prince Aschwin Zur Lippe-Biesterfeld, etc. etc. etc. Probably it was made clear jewels were not desired?
