Let's hope this is true, at least the jewelry part, that would be something to see . Eargerly waiting for that visit!!
Apologise for the OT but I also agree on HM (if true) on the "lowering the hemlines". HRH is of course a lady in very good phisical shape, but she is no longer a teenager. What looks good when you are 17 is not always the most elegant outfit when you are in your 30's. Specially if you are a princess. Again apologize for the OT.
--Previous Message-- : There is an interesting article in Vanity Fair : saying that the Queen has requested the DofC : lower her hemlines for the upcoming visit in : April to Australia. But the more : interesting part of the article is that the : Queen has also encouraged the DofC to : "wear tiaras favored by HM and the : Queen Mother". There has also been a : request that the DofC wear "statement : jewelry and gemstones from the Queen's : personal collection." : : Of course the validity of claims made in the : article can't be verified, but I'm hoping : that there is at least some truth to it. I : think I can safely say that we all hope the : Duchess takes crates of jewels to Australia, : and puts on a serious show of glitter and : swag!! : : Here is a link to the article: : : http://www.vanityfair.com/online/daily/2014/01/queen-kate-middleton-longer-skirts : : : EDIT: I just found out the source of VF's : article is The Daily Mail....not often a : reliable place for information. So I guess : we can take all of this with a grain of : salt. But it doesn't stop me from hoping : that Kate wears a tiara the entire time : she's in Australia....24/7. :
