I'm thinking of the first thread we had on the glorious subject of the Portuguese jewels: "The Queen died in 1951 and her will stated that her Portuguese jewels should go to the present Duke of Braganza that was her Godson. But at that time only the tiara remained from Queen Amelia wedding presents and, as far as I know, there is no information from what happened to the other jewels." http://members2.boardhost.com/royal-jewels/msg/1391108108.html If I read it wrong, I apologize. This is why I thought the previous duchess of Braganza would not have worn this tiara at her wedding: it didn't belong to her husband, and the wedding took place outside Europe. Was Queen Amelie even present at this event? Though I do wander off-topic, sorry!
