Rene Brus on page 78 of Juwelen van het Huis Oranje-Nassau mentions the delivery by Vita Israel of a brilliant and emerald tiara on 22 December 1884. The receipt - for 8.000 guilders - specifies 'ears of wheat', but it is not known whether these were new or not.
The Wedding Gift Tiara being unwearable is the perpetuation of the myth which has been disproven a while ago by me in the Dutch magazine Royalty - I haven't published this information on my website yet.
