What a great find. I now wonder if 2 of the elongated 'leaves' in the 'brooch' in the miniature are meant to be leeks. They are different from the leaves near the rose. Re the 'harp brooch'. It is unclear to me whether this is meant to represent a Welsh or an Irish harp. If the latter, it might have been intended to highlight that Ireland was part of the UK - and a way to counteract Irish nationalism. Royal iconography is full of subtle and not so subtle motifs.
