The differences in the 'brooches' in the two miniatures suggests to me that they are a result of artistic licence. --Previous Message-- : 1897 : PJ : --Previous Message-- : : : Until I enlarged the image, I assumed that : QV was depicted wearing the fringe : tiara/necklace as a bodice ornament - as we : have seen on other occasions - and that the : differences I perceived were due to artistic : licence. Yet, there are clearly 3 flower : shaped segments with red coloured stones in : the centre with fringes hanging below them. : Re brooch on HM right shoulder. I think : there is a crown at the top, below this a : round green shape and - is it possible that : the bottom section represents a harp? : : :
