HM QEII use of jewels - a tribute?Archived Message

Her Majesty has given jewel lovers a feast during her trip to France. I am particularly taken by the fact that she choose to wear the Coronation necklace and earrings to the State banquet in Paris. It is not often that HM wears these jewels, and I suspect she does not do so to impress, fashion wise. I suspect that her decision to wear these jewels is a tribute to the military personnel who took part in D-Day, a day on which so many paid the ultimate sacrifice. What do others think?
