Thank you GillW, I agree with your point of view. HM, QEII, has worn so much jewellery associated with her mother in the last couple of days. The brooch we used to call the waterfall brooch is very striking. HM QEQM used to wear it on so many occasions, both for evening wear and for day time.

The Grapes on leaving for France, : the Turkish fringe, the ruby spray, all : having been worn by the late Q Mother. : : I think the diamond necklace fitted the : neckline of her evening gown very well, : which might have been the reason for the : choice, but you may be right Beth1. : : : --Previous Message-- : Her Majesty has given jewel lovers a feast : during her trip to France. : I am particularly taken by the fact that she : choose to wear the Coronation necklace and : earrings to the State banquet in Paris. It : is not often that HM wears these jewels, and : I suspect she does not do so to impress, : fashion wise. I suspect that her decision to : wear these jewels is a tribute to the : military personnel who took part in D-Day, a : day on which so many paid the ultimate : sacrifice. What do others think? : : : :
