Apparently the Queen Mothers estate was left directly to the Queen so that it did not incur death duties. Had she left items to Charles he would have had to pay tax on them. Sovereign to Sovereign inheritance is exempt from death duties. Hence I would expect that HM will leave her entire estate to Charles with private instruction on items she wishes Andrew, Edward, Anne & their families to have. Either that or items will be given as gifts while HM is alive.
