Dear Baxter, Thank you thank you for your kind post !! I was at a diner yesterday night when I saw the photos ; You can"t imagine how I was speechless about this very beautiful sautoir (Thank you again because you have also given me information concerning diamonds collet nekclaces owned and worn by Queen Elizabeth II) !!! I couldn't guess that this sautoir was so long...the pendant seems very huge (it could be also transformed in a brooch !!) Where did you find these photos (also the one from Princess Elizabeth wearing the diamond collet necklace as a princess)? Last but not least, did you find a list of jewels received by Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother as wedding gifts ? I have never found an official list... Best regards, Franck --Previous Message-- : : Franck, you asked about this before but I : have just recently found a slightly clearer : photo of the Duchess of York likely wearing : the sapphire necklace described by Roberts: : : Queen Elizabeth (when Duchess of York) used : Sintzenich to make a new sapphire and : diamond chain pendant in 1929. : : : : : I think it was most likely made from the : wedding gift presented by Queen Mary. : : : : Has anyone ever seen the bracelet? Perhaps : it was used also. The large brooch was of : course a favorite, worn throughout the Queen : Mother's life, and the small sapphire brooch : went to Princess Margaret. : : :
