sapphires in tiara? Archived Message

Earlier in the week I mentioned that Roberts states that the Strathmore tiara had originally the option for the diamond roses to be replaced with sapphires, but the wording is not sufficiently clear as whether the whole rose is replaced or just the centre. I found a photo which shows the tiara in the more traditional, on top of head style [not beandeau] and the centres of the roses look much darker - this could of course just be the light and an effect of the photo, but perhaps it also shows the tiara with sapphires? I think the brooch she is wearing is the sapphire brooch from the wedding gift of the king and queen. --Previous Message-- : Dear Baxter, : : Thank you for your kind information ! : : Have a good day ! : : Best regards, : : Franck : : --Previous Message-- : Glad I could help you out, Franck.
