Aigrette, I agree that the fringe earrings are similar in style to the necklace given by Queen Mary as a wedding gift. As mentioned there were no earrings as part of the suite. In fact, with the exception of the turquoise parure from the king, there didn't seem to be any earrings given as wedding gifts. I think this could be due to the fact that Lady Elizabeth's ears were not pierced. Although her hairstyle usually completely covered her ears, in all the photos in her younger days and into the early years of her marriage I have never seen the Queen Mother wearing earrings.
