This photo was taken in April 1954. Pss Margaret and QEQM were waving to Prince Charles and Pss Anne who were on the Britannia on their way to meet their parents. The photo gives a good look at the back of QEQM's necklace. This is from Queen Mother: The Hulton Getty Picture Collection p213. A full view of the Queen Mother and a close-up of the Queen Mother. PJ --Previous Message-- : In the video below, Queen Elizabeth the Queen : Mother is seen in 1954 wearing some of her : trademark pearls. : : At approximately 2.08 minutes there are some : good views of the back of her necklace/s, : and it would appear that she is wearing 2 : separate necklaces. : : The upper 2 strands clearly have a dark or : dark stones in the clasp. : : Could this necklace be the one described as : the Indian pearls with the ruby snap? : : If so, does anyone have any ideas about when : these pearls passed to QEII? Did they remain : with her mother until her death? : : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yu7Ygzwbscc :
