From the One Hundred Tiaras exhibition in 1997 - " An openwork gold tiara loosely inspired by Egytian ornament, the papyrus shaped mounts framed in scrolls separated with palmettes. Trails of diamonds are arched above and are surmounted by single diamonds and a pearl. English Circa 1925 Provenance: Given by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother to Her Royal Highness the Princess Maragret. Lent to the Honourable Serena Stanhope on the occasion of her marriage to The Viscount Linley in 1993. Her Royal Highness Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdown " 3 dec. 2013 Kensington Palace confirmed tonight that the tiara worn by #duchessofcambridge for White tie reception had belonged to Princess Margaret. https://twitter.com/theroyaleditor/status/408018982722347008
