I found David G's comments stimulating, and as a result decided to look at the will of Princess Mary, Duchess of Gloucester.
She did leave Princess Mary Adelaide of Cambridge (later Duchess of Teck) a pearl stomacher but, alas, there is no description. It is simply described as a pearl and diamond stomacher.
So far I cannot find a will for Princess Mary Adelaide, Duchess of Teck. Does anyone know if she died intestate?
