While I was talking to my mother her weather alarm went off with a flash flood warning saying that there was a storm coming her way that was dumping about 5 inches per hour. It stalled out less than an hour away over mostly rural land, then fell apart so she didn't get the flooding. Joan reminded me to look at the mammogram reminder that is sitting on my desk. It says to call on August 11 to reschedule. I think I will do it tomorrow. It has been here so long that I have gone blind to it until she said she had an appt. Thanks, Joan! After looking at how much everything has gone up on the office/warehouse this week and then seeing the listing for all the things in his brother's estate sale that he bought then did nothing with but pay for expensive storage just as we are doing my husband has decided to go through his office/shop and pick out anything he wants to keep and have a sale or auction on the rest then sell the building. Luckily, there is not a lot that he wants to keep but a few tools he doesn't have here and a tractor. There are so many tools, building supplies, and big machinery on that property that I have shuddered to think of what the kids would do with it for years. Why not use the money for our retirement or further education for the last three grandkids? I am so grateful that he has finally decided to do this. My feet are no longer sore and have smoothed out fairly well. When I started feeling bad, they suddenly burst open after a summer of not giving me any trouble. I had to wonder if it was related. No matter the cause, it looks as if they are not going to be bursting open like they sometimes do in winter.

That Adam got Philo as part of a streaming package and set it up as a family plan so he could share it with me! I am able to watch The 6,000 lb Diaries with Dr Now. So glad to be able to watch this. Has anyone else been watching this show? Dr. Now is sporting a goatee!! 2. Reworked my budget to see if I can stick anymore money into savings! Right now we are living on just our Social Security checks and I have been sticking my paychecks into savings. I think it will help slow down picking up supper on the way home from work for Ken if I have less money in my checking account and plan more home cooked meals which is something else I am working on. 3. Meal prepping for the week. 4. Ken and I turned our dining room table the other direction so there will be more room in the kitchen for the new peninsula. I’ve even marked out the shape of the peninsula with tape on the floor. I am getting so excited for the changes that are coming in the kitchen. Our contractor is building the peninsula right now and it should be in by the end of the week! 5. Set a couple of goals for the week. One of them is to walk 5,000 steps daily and the other one is to drink 48 oz of water on top of the coffee I drink (before I included my coffee intake as part of my water intake).

I love sharing plans Posted by Delta on 8/3/2025, 11:40 pm, in reply to "My five…" We are on family plans on several things with the two kids, but I keep forgetting what we have and watching the same things all the time. I don't really watch TV anyway. It is just usually on and I am doing something else and tune in sometimes. I am glad that you got some new channels that you like. It is smart to try to live on your social security checks and put your paychecks into savings. It is good practice for when you are no longer working and you will have a nice nest egg, too. You have me getting excited about your kitchen remodel.

And Starz we got for a year for 20.00 but not much on it. I think I might see if Dad will use Netflix and get him a Roku and pay for it because he told me they didn’t have anything streaming. Hannah pays for and shares Hulu, Disney+, Paramouny, Peacock Spotify family plan so we all have music and podcasts on that. We both pay for Prime so we get prime TV. Isn’t it ridiculous!!! We honestly watch normally 1 hour of tv a night. Maybe 2 if nothings going on. Anymore it’s like how do you keep up w what is on where.

Although I don't write them down, I mentally plan out the meals for the week. It helps that I can switch out days for the meals to be eaten, but everything is ready. Love your goals! Good luck!

Here are 3 of my favorites: 1. Pork Tenderloin - Our favorite is the apple bourbon. It's so easy to pop it in the oven, and then pair it with a salad or veggies. We like to make sky-high sandwiches (lettuce, tomato, onion). I use Lewis Hawaiian Keto Bread which is only 35 calories a slice. 2. Bagel & Lox - My husband insists on Alaskan Wild Sockeye so I wait until it goes on sale before buying a couple packs. I use the Sola blueberry bagels (110 calories), Laughing Cow Cheese (50 calories) and salmon (90 calories) to create a worthy deli rendition. Again, we pair it with a salad/veggies. 3. Hamburgers - I believe you mentioned BOCA burgers which I've used, but now I'm using Dr. Praeger's veggie burgers (110 calories) because they were BOGO. Again, we make sky-high sandwiches and pair it with a salad or veggies. We are big veggie eaters.

Happy in several ways. Loving doing the rosary daily John and I out for the day. Going To St Louis. I only slept 2 hours so we will see how this goes. I like our days out Paula is feeling better Olivia’s surgery will be over this week and we can stop worrying I hope.

Our son is using Empire to get new LVP throughout his house, where he has carpet because of the pets. Their vinyl is much thicker than what you can get at Home Depot or Lowes. At one time we were looking at some for our house and liked what we found at Lumber Liquidators. I think they changed their name to LL Flooring now. They have an app that you can download a picture and try out all the floors they carry.

Not real estate but the buyers had an agent and the contract was dependent on them selling their house within 21 days which they did. They paid all fees. It went smoothly.

It’s gotten to where since John tested Lupus positive, and he is having aches and pains now , when we would go it was 2 or 3 days of work for him outside to keep the lot up. And with us not really using it we were driving 100 miles each way to maintain it. It just sucked lot of the fun out of it. Property taxes more than doubled. There and at home. Insurance went up there and at home and on the cars. Utilities went up and there was a minimum 45.00’charge even if we weren’t there (!that was the beginning usage fee before kWh usage. Then we had to run the a/c for the dehumidifier because it’s very humid there so we had a schedule set. Bottom line. We didn’t hardly use it. It was a lot of work. It was expensive.

Our taxes didn't go up this year since we will be paying our first year's taxes but they will next year when we get the bill. We also have to leave the AC on and run a dehumidifier to keep the house from sweating badly inside. We try to keep it about 78, which has been working. We put in a smart thermostat that we can turn down while we are traveling, making it comfortable when we get there.

It's not the same as a full body, long, hot shower but I can wash all my front...under boobs, pits, lady parts with real soap and water instead of bed bath wipes. Still have to use them for my back and butt but, it is what it is for now. Had to cancel my mammo this week because of the vac and the long tube. It would be too hard to navigate. My lips are better. They have been so scaly and cracked throughout this mess. My neighbor, Steve, who came over and fixed our TV connection. Deborah coming Thursday.

It makes it so much easier to spot shower. I am glad that you at least get frontal showers. After one of my surgeries, they came in with a big trash bag and some duct tape and taped up all around the wound and stuck me in the shower while I was still in the hospital but I guess putting a trash bag on your own back would be very hard. I am glad that your lips are better. Surgery always a number on my lips as well as my hands and feet. It does take a long time to get things back to normal. Enjoy your time with Deborah.

LOL In other words, share the gifts that have been so generously given to you from our generous God! Plan for eternal life! 2. Treat Day has been moved to Monday due to a a doctor's appointment on Monday. Mammogram time, again! 3. My husband and I watched a movie yesterday that neither one of us cared for, but the funny thing was, that even with a boring movie, we still managed to enjoy each other's company by exchanging comments about the movie until we were laughing. 4. I found a new lozenge for my xerostomia, "Smart Mouth, Dry Mouth" and it's working well for me. 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!
